EastEnders star Jake Maskall thought you knew: He’s gay
EastEnders heartthrob Jake Maskall says it’s no big secret, but he happens to be gay. “Sorry girls - no chance,” he said. “I am gay - I’ve been with my boyfriend for 12 years now.” The actor, who plays ladies’ man Danny Moon, says Joel Beckett, who plays his brother on the show, gets more fan mail, anyway. “He’s the thinking woman’s crumpet.” And now that Maskall’s non-secret is widely known, he hopes the whole issue will go away. “My relationship’s part of my private life and I hope everyone respects my privacy,” he says.
