Matt Battaglia talks about his gay role on Queer As Folk Matt Battaglia isn't gay, really, he just played gay well enough on Queer As Folk to, y'know, sufficiently confuse people.

His love scenes as the sexually confused Drew Boyd even bothered his fiance Tina Frazier a little. So is he gay? Battaglia told the Courier-Journal, "I am most definitely not gay. ... I saw this great character that was really struggling with his identity, struggling with the pressures of society - the ignorance of society, in some ways. This character had more that he was dealing with than any character I was offered before. And as an actor, you don't get offered roles like that very often. The hard part was the physical scenes.
