Victorville students plan mock wedding to support gay rights
A mock same-sex marriage scheduled for today at Silverado High School in Victorville, California, by students' Gay-Straight Alliance has everyone in a tizzy. Some students are staying home in protest of the protest. Others couldn't care less. Three same-sex student couples, members of Silverado's Gay-Straight Alliance Club, say they will marry during the lunch periods on campus to show their support for same-sex unions, despite objections from the community.San Bernardino Sun[Date: 11-Feb-05 ]
