Scissor Sisters win big at Brit awards

scissor sisters New York City’s Scissor Sisters popularity has never been questioned in the UK and it was confirmed last night when the band took home three Brit awards. The group’s self-titled album took home the prize for best international album and also took home international breakthrough act and best international group honors. The multiple awards are not surprising, considering that Scissor Sisters was the U.K.’s top-selling album in 2004. Ana Matronic devoted the international album award to "anyone who called us a freak, anyone who called us a faggot, anyone who didn't think we could do it."
