Police arrest Valerie Stein\'s lesbian lover for death of Stein\'s grandma

In New York, a Long Island grandmother was strangled in her home and police are questioning her daughter and her daughter's lesbian lover in connection with the slaying. Diana Stein's body was found dressed in her pajamas in her home after New Jersey police received a phone call from a woman threatening suicide who told police to go to the apartment. No obvious signs of trauma were found on Stein's body, leading cops to suspect she was strangled, but shortly after Stein was found police went to the home of her daughter Valerie Stein, 37, and neighbors said the daughter's girlfriend, Julie Flynn, 36, was led away from the house in handcuffs. Neighbor Christopher Serra, 18, said he saw a police officer remove a shotgun. "He came out with a shotgun and unloaded it. One of the shells fell on the snow," Serra said. The motive appears to be the medical care that the victim̢۪s granddaughter was receiving.
