Councilman compares gayness to flatulence

In England, Crabbs Cross County Councillor Tom Wareing is annoyed that groups that support crossdressers and gay people might get public funding. He launched into some speech about protecting children and childhood, and then said, "According to medical evidence, one in eight of the population suffers from constipation, while one in four suffers from flatulence, yet no local authority to date has provided funds, it would appear, in order to celebrate such conditions, especially the various cadences that are possible in the act of breaking wind." A fellow councilman said Wareing is "charming" in person, which we're finding hard to swallow, but had crossed the line this time.
