Tax paid transition for transsexual Vicki Harvey ticks off some New Zealand transsexual Vicki Harvey, 73, has set off something of a firestorm over her bid to have the state pay for her sex-change operation. National's health spokesman Paul Hutchison said most New Zealanders would be appalled. A small number of operations have been funded over the years and Harvey can't afford to pay for her sex change herself.
