Lesbian swans in Boston mate for life Every year the pair of swans returns to Boston's Public Garden and the Mayor leads a parade and hundreds of kids dress up as swans and ducks to celebrate. Let's just say they really love these swans, so much so they named them "Romeo and Juliet." But guess what? That's right. The happy couple that exhibits all the behaviors of any swans that are mated for life has turned out to be two female swans. They're lesbian swans. "They build nests together, incubate eggs together and defend their territory together," he said. "They're deeply bonded." The Boston Globe recently outed the pair because of their eggs. �
