Gay priests should be banned says O'Brien
Washington D.C. Archbishop Edwin O\'Brien, the American prelate overseeing a sweeping Vatican evaluation of every U.S. seminary, said that most gay candidates for the priesthood struggle to remain celibate and the church must "stay on the safe side" by restricting their enrollment. A much-anticipated Vatican document due to be released soon may do just that.
