Lesbian tennis legend Martina Navratilova denied title
Martina Navratilova missed out on a 59th Grand Slam title when she and Indian partner Leander Paes were beaten in the French Open mixed doubles final. The pair lost 3-6 6-3 6-2 to Frenchman Fabrice Santoro and Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova. The 48-year-old Navratilova, who needs four more titles to equal the record 62 held by Margaret Court, took the first set. But Santoro and Hantuchova levelled the match and then reeled off six games in a row in the decider.�
