Laws, Price ordered to apologise for gay vilification
Commercial radio station 2UE has been ordered to broadcast apologies for anti-gay comments made by two of its presenters.
The Administrative Decisions Tribunal found presenters Steve Price and John Laws had vilified homosexual men by making negative comments about two gay participants on the Channel Nine program The Block.
The case was brought to the tribunal by gay activist Gary Burns.
This morning the tribunal has ordered 2UE to broadcast apologies by Mr Price and Mr Laws, and then publish the same apologies on their website and in major newspapers.
The Sydney station has already announced it plans to appeal against the tribunal decision.
