SAMHSA's Brenda Bruun nixes gay language

We told you about the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's little problem with an upcoming program. SAMHSA project manager Brenda Bruun was the one who gave the word that the contractor running the program should omit the four words that described precisely what the session was about. The talk, titled "Suicide Prevention Among Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender Individuals" and you can guess what the four words were. The federal agency's efforts have inspired scores of experts in mental health to flood the agency with angry e-mails.
