Feds make conference retitle session on GLBT suicide prevention

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, part of Health and Human Services, made organizers of an upcoming conference change the name of a session called "Suicide Prevention Among Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender Individuals." Too queer. It's now called "Suicide Prevention Among Vulnerable Populations," but the panelists aren't too happy about it. The feds are perfectly willing to fund religion, however. SAMHSA requested the conference add a session on faith-based suicide prevention, said SAMHSA spokesman Mark Weber. Just a suggestion, he said.
