Irish boy band Westlife star Mark Feehily declared he was gay and in a relationship with Kevin McDaid, who used to be in boyband V. Westlife memebrs fully supported Mark as did Westlife's fans.
Irish boy band Boyzone were the biggest boy band in Britain - six number ones, 10 million albums, sold-out arena tours with a not a dry seat in the house - and Stephen Gately was (secretly at first) gay. Sadly Stephen passed away last year from a congenital heart problem.
Lance Bass from US boy band N-Sync came out in 2006. "I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything," said Bass at the time, referring to bandmates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake.
Jonathan Knight from US Boy Band New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) is reported by Perez Hilton as gay. Johnathan dated a Brazilian model (Kyle Wilker), until he spilled the beans on his boy band boyfriends.
UK boy band Take That have no out gay members. Robbie Williams has joked many times about being gay but has sued The Mirror for libelous reports about his sexuality.

The One Direction boys are working very hard on the X Factor to make it in the tough world of music. I'm sure they will do well winning or otherwise. They really don't need speculation on their sexuality, but they are sure going to get it.
JLS last year's X Factor definitely all look straight. It will be interesting to see if a boy band every has an out gay member from the get-go.

I'm not accusing them of being gay as that would have negative connotations. As this is a gay blog, and I am gay, I am just speculating about whether any of them are gay and asking my readers.
Given that several boy bands have a gay member (which is good), I was wondering whether that was going to apply to One Direction.
harry is the flirty one and had a fling with a model so it isn't him
louis has been with hannah walker (might be parker, not sure) for about 10 months now
zayn is now dating geneva lane from belle amie
and then the rumour of the x factor house romances with cher lloyd about how she was getting with liam, zayn and harry at the same time (louis was taken then and still is now)
it leaves us with only Niall really. IT BLATANTLY OBVIOUS IN MY OPINION! IT'S HIM! if not then i think it's liam. :)

I'm so sick of people saying "he has a girlfriend, so he can't be gay!"... "he's dating a model, so definitely not gay!!"... "he broke up with his gf recently, so obviously not gay!!!".... Sure, it's possible that none of them are gay but realistically, people, stop being so naive! Especially you young girls who would be suffering from your worst nightmare if your favorite One Direction-er was gay! Often times, and historically, at least one boy-band member has been gay, not coming out until waaayyyy later until their career is over. Mind you, the boys did not know each other from the start... they were grouped in a band, which makes the likeliness of one of at least one them being gay. In addition, having a girlfriend or dating a gf model or having an ex gf obviously DOES NOT mean you can't be gay. ALL of the gay boyband members who ended up coming out or being outted had girlfriends and played it straight...... Even Ricki Martin! Who wasn't in a bank but was the biggest lady's man and "flirt" from the beginning of time! And "ta-daaa!", he's gay!. Just keep that in mind ;)
P.s.: it's funny how people are saying that Zayn is the gay one... Is it because he's not white so it's the most easy to accept? So pathetic, people!

None of them are gay. They act like it because it draws attention to them. You shouldn't judge someone. If you're a guy, you should thank One Direction. They sing to your girlfriends what you would never have the heart to say. Why are you so hard on 1D? What have they ever done to you? If you're jealous, don't hate on them. They're not gay and you shouldn't judge people just because they're famous.
