News-Times fires copy editor over lesbian caption
Connecticut: The News-Times has apologized and fired a copy editor who put an offensive caption on its Web page under a photo of the Immaculate High School girls\' soccer team. In the photo they were celebrating a championship scored goal. The caption said they were celebrating a teammate\'s decision to "come out of the closet as a lesbian."
